Modified Canon Rebel Project
(updated 7/13/04)

Here are some photographs related to the Canon Rebel project I have been working on.

The near IR filter has been removed from this camera, and I am now working on a method of cooling the 6.3 megapixel CMOS imaging sensor.  Some suggestions by James Turley, Richard Crisp, Michelle Stone and others have been integrated into my thinking.

Here is a terrestrial image after the IR filter has been removed.  No mistake about leaves being good IR sources.  The autofocus feature no longer works exactly right, and the exposure had to be adjusted manually, otherwise it would have been overexposed by a factor of about 10.
